Ford Ranger 2011 on Commercial Combination Bar product release

Ford Ranger 2011 on Commercial Combination Bar product release

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT:
The Ford Ranger uses an advanced wiring system allowing new chassis control systems to be used. Due to this, integration of the ARB turn/clearance lamps required the design of a specific harness that utilises a relay system so as not to interfere with the vehicles CAN/LIN wiring system. To integrate traditional ARB bar styling to the Ranger, the O.E bumper and inner guards are cut and trimmed leaving bumper in fill between the headlights and bar top pan as well as removing excess inner guard material so as to match the under wing panel angle. To aid airflow to the powerful turbo inter-cooled engines, airflow has been enhanced by adding large apertures in the centre stone shield and mounting brackets as well as reducing obstruction of the split pan by mounting the number plate on a folding bracket if a winch is fitted. When compared with traditional ARB bar styling, the Ranger bar has a greater swept back outer wing tube to reduce interfearance with the headlight beams and to meet ADR regulations. Note: All sales and fitting staff should be aware that Ford recommends that all power for additional external lamps or additional features such as CB radio’s etc. should be taken through an auxiliary fuse box (connected to battery) with a suitable switch and/or relay as required. (ref FCSD Bulletin Vol 11/04) Directly splicing into existing wiring for aftermarket accessories will put additional load on the BCM (Body Control Unit) and a built in safety feature will cause it to shut down.

PROTECTION & STYLING CHARACTERISTICS:
Manufactured from quality materials, the Ranger commercial bar features a ∅76.1mm centre frame tube and ∅47.6mm outer frame tubes. The split pan design provides increased strength and improved airflow to the engine. Multi fold upswept wings have additional reinforcement to provide a further increase in strength, as well as improved approach angles offroad and include recessed combination turn/park signal assemblies.

• Durable steel construction for maximum protection.
• Split pan design for maximum strength and airflow.
• Under protection centre panel with optional under wing protection panels.
• Vehicle specific design to complement the Ford Ranger and maximise functionality.
• Superbly engineered, air bag compatible mounting system secures to chassis via high tensile bolts.
• Combination style to suit winch/non winch applications.
• Will accommodate Warn, Magnum & Bushranger low mount model electric winches.
• Twin Hi-Lift jacking points located in the pan of the bar.
• Provision to accommodate a range of IPF driving lights.
• Recessed indicator/clearance lamps.
• Retains original equipment tow point.
• Two aerial brackets located on the outer frames of the bar.
• Finished in a hard-wearing powder coat with the added option of colour coding to individual vehicles.

CENTRE STONE SHIELD:
The centre stone shield has been designed with 6 x 70 mm holes to further aid with engine cooling.

NUMBER PLATE MOUNT:
To aid airflow through the split pan when a winch is installed, the number plate is fitted to a hinged mount (supplied with optional winch mount kit P/No 3540050) that allows it to be lifted so that the roller fairlead can be accessed during winch operation. When no winch is fitted the number plate is affixed directly to the bar over the roller fairlead slot.

DRIVING LIGHT MOUNTS:
Commercial bars include laser cut holes in the top of the centre pan for fitment of a range of compatible driving lights such as IPF 108, 808, 800 & 900 series lights.

AERIAL MOUNTS:
Two aerial mounts are welded to the outer wing tubes to allow fitment of UHF/AM radio and mobile phone aerials/ antennas.

WINCH MODEL FITMENT:
Ranger Combination style winch bars fit the following winches:

• Warn M8000
• Warn M9000
• Warn XD9000
• Warn XP9500
• Warn XDC
• Bushranger DV-9TH
• Bushranger DS-9.5TH

An optional winch mounting kit P/No 3540050 is required for fitting all winch models.

TURN SIGNALS:
To meet ADR’s, the commercial bar is fitted with combination turn/park signal lamp assemblies. These are recessed behind the bar for extra protection.

HILIFT JACKING POINTS:
Each bar comes standard with two reinforced HiLift jacking points fitted to the centre pan.
